Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR)

At Medireach Africa, we believe that access to sexual and reproductive health is not a privilege, it is a fundamental human right. Yet across many communities, barriers such as poverty, stigma, gender inequality, limited education, and poor access to health services continue to deny individuals, especially women and young people, the ability to make informed choices about their bodies and futures.

Our SRHR program empowers individuals and communities by integrating healthcare, education, and social support to promote dignity, safety, and equity.

We focus on:

  • Comprehensive Sexuality Education – Equipping young people with accurate information to make informed decisions.
  • Family Planning & Contraceptives – Expanding access to affordable and diverse methods of contraception.
  • Maternal & Newborn Health – Ensuring safe pregnancies, skilled birth attendance, and postnatal care.
  • Youth-Friendly Services – Creating safe, confidential spaces for adolescents and young adults to access care without judgment.
  • Prevention of Harmful Practices – Working to end early marriage, female genital mutilation (FGM), and gender-based discrimination.
  • Advocacy for Rights – Promoting policies and systems that protect reproductive rights and expand access to essential services.

By addressing both medical and social barriers, Medireach Africa’s SRHR program ensures that every person, especially women and girls, can exercise their rights, access quality care, and live healthier, more empowered lives.
